Selina assured fans of her recovery through her band mates, Hebe and Ella
"I'm recovering fast, even though it's tedious."This was the second time Selina Jen spoke publicly, when she reassured her fans. The singer was severely burnt in an accident on the set of My Date with Spring in October.
Selina and her band mates from pop group S.H.E had always been hailed as the queens of commercials. However, since Selina's unfortunate accident, companies had gotten jittery.
Some had reportedly began discussions with the group's management company regarding the termination of contracts. Others suggested they would continue to cooperate with the group despite Selina's absence, but on the condition they receive no pay.
Yesterday, Hebe Tien and Ella Chen attended a fashion show, where the company had extended their contracts by a year and played a recording from Selina.
"It's been two months since we last met. I miss you guys a lot. Thank you to all the fans and media for your encouragement during the two months. I'm recovering fast, even though it's tedious," the injured pop star said.
As Christmas was arriving soon, Selina said "it's a happy event and we used to exchange presents with each other". The singer added that she would not be able to have fun this year, but would probably "exchange presents with the nurses".
Father Jen revealed that Selina's hair had grown into a buzz cut, just like a little monk's. Her fiancé Richard Chang would visit her at night daily. Rubbing her head, he would say, "How are you today, Little Monk?"
Ella praised Richard for standing by Selina during the past two months.
"He's reliable and knowledgeable. I'm glad lao po (Ella's nickname for Selina) found someone she can be dependent on," said Ella.
Selina would take a year off work for her therapy. Ella thought her band mate's health is priority and that Selina should rest.
"If there are radio interviews or hosting gigs, it's still possible. However, I don't think she needs (to work)," added Hebe.
