Taiwan-Pop Awards 2010: Part 1

After almost a month of voting and preparations, we have finally come to this part where we will reveal the best of the best this 2010. Thanks for your continuous support on our blog...!! Anyways, here are the winner of our very first Taiwan-Pop Awards!

 Album of the Year

Grown Up by BY2
As their album title suggests, BY2 has really Grown Up.

The album was released in prior to their 18th birthday and is packed with lots of great tracks having a perfect combination of various genres in a perfect album. They have smashed the hit charts for the first week of its released and have garnered a lot of attention in the market as well as the internet world. Not only it marked the changed of their image from cute to sexy but also showed their capabilities in showing more and more of what they can do.

It was the best album of the year beating S.H.E.'s Shero in our poll with just a few votes. Indeed, it was simply the greatest album of 2010. And one word can describe it: Perfect!

 Best Album Cover

Shero by S.H.E.
S.H.E. has been widely phenomenal for the release of the album Shero which was give them several title in our awards. One of which is the Album Cover. The album cover defines what the album is all about. And just what they had, S.H.E. was dressed up in dresses shaped just like a flower that represents their blooming from mellow pop to a more modern and hip pop rock.
The cover also have glittering effects such as the silver design of the gowns that shows their versatility to adapt to a rock and hip world of music. They have also designed a great background that lifts up the colors of what they wearing.

 Best Newcomer

Hebe Tian
She won in a landslide mode garnering almost 90% of the total votes. Though she is not new to the industry since she belongs to the popular female group S.H.E., Hebe Tian decides to try her own fate in the music scene all alone. Releasing her debut album To Hebe as a solo artist, she have won the hearts of many with her unusual songs and mellow voice.
Although she has gained popularity and is ready to go solo on her way to success, she didn't forget her old group and decided to stay with them. It turned out that going solo was just an experiment gone perfect. Her fate as a solo and a member made her figure out that it is really surprising how events turned out in this kind of business.
Though there haven't been enough news for what she is up to this coming 2011, she will definitely make it big. After all, she has proven enough for all of us.

 Best Compilation Album

Whimsical World Tour by Rainie Yang

It was a success!!

Her first major concert that bears the same title with her album which was a compilation of her hits that made her famous in her previous album was definitely a show to watch. She is so great with her album and it was magnificent.
Trying out new genres, Rainie Yang's Whimsical World Tour included new songs with different themes such as fantasy and kind of horrific which proves her exceptional talent.
The album consists of two cd's which has tracks of her songs which became a hit.
The album itself was marvelous plus the new songs made it more magical with Rainie going for a new image.

(to be continued...)
Watch out for the second part to be released tomorrow!
