One-third of the Taiwanese girl group S.H.E was spotted on a date with a businessman
Ella would usually dismiss the rumours. However it's different this time when she was spotted on a date with businessman Lai Si Xiang.
The pair was seen taking a stroll after dinner before proceeding to Ella's place. It was also revealed that Lai had asked for Ella's hand in marriage and the couple is believed to be living together.
According to the report, Lai and Ella dated frequently. This was not the first time the media caught him spending the night at Ella's place after their date. Once, Lai brought takeaway to Ella's and strolled home with the singer. Another time, he waited until Ella finished her work before going to her place.
Thirty-five-year-old Lai is a Malaysian who is working as a brand marketing associate in Taiwan. S.H.E bandmate Hebe, who was the spokesperson for the company Lai works at, is said to be the couple's matchmaker.
Last December, Ella took to her microblog after a friend caught her on a date with Lai.
"Caught red-handed. [I'm so] embarrassed," she wrote.
Her friend replied immediately: "Be careful of the paps at your side."
The same friend later added that his friend "wants me to say hello to you. He said he wants to propose to you ..."
At that time, Ella's mother commented at once.
"Ella, [a] proposal? It's barely a month since you met and you want to propose to [her]? You better don't say yes. You would become bigger news than Barbie [Hsu]," the older woman wrote, hinting at Ella's blossoming relationship with Lai.
