HONG KONG: Hong Kong tabloids recently published photos that showed Hong Kong actress Shu Qi driving to Taiwan singer Wang Lee Hom's Taipei apartment building on July 30, before leaving the following day to meet actress Kelly Lin for a meal.
Other reports said Shu Qi was spotted strolling hand in hand with Wang in New York last month.
These articles all claimed that this was proof she was seeing Wang.But Shu Qi on Wednesday rubbished these reports and expressed that the articles were very misleading, reported Hong Kong media.
"The story they wrote is so colourful! Give them a round of applause," said Shu Qi sarcastically.
"I went to New York to shoot a commercial," explained the actress, adding that the tabloids were merely "chasing shadows".
As for why Shu Qi turned up at Wang's apartment building, the actress told Hong Kong media that she simply wanted to visit one of her other friends who lived in the same building as Wang.
Wang's manager has also refuted media reports that claimed Shu Qi had visited Wang on July 30, and explained that Wang had spent most of that day at the recording studio.
"Lee Hom stayed at home for only a short while before leaving for the recording studio that day, and did not return home that whole night," said Wang's manager.
