SEOUL: KARA will be the first Korean girl group to have figures made in their image and released in both Korea and Japan, reported Korean media.
The 12-inch figures are designed for maximum realism, and will feature KARA in the midriff-baring outfits they wore on the cover of their hit single "Mister", with each figure sporting an actual wig.
Hot Toys, a toy company that had previously designed figures of Iron Man and Jack Sparrow (from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise), will be involved in the design and production of the KARA figures, as will companies like DC Comics, Nokia and Enterbay.
The figures are a testament to KARA's popularity not only in Korea, but also in Japan, where there is a high level of interest in collecting figures.
The figures will be available for online pre-order at the end of March.
