The Taiwanese singer chided her uncle for his recent actions and said she would consider suing him.
Taiwanese singer Angela Chang might have finally decided to take legal action against her uncle.
On Feb 12, Taiwanese singer Angela Chang held an autograph session for her new book Beautiful Dissociation.
Afraid that her family would create a scene, the publisher mobilised six bodyguards and five employees to maintain order. Additionally, the singer's record company deployed five other employees and Angela's younger sister was also beside her.
During the autograph session, Angela commented on her recent family scandal. She admitted she felt "wronged" by her uncle's accusations of her ignoring her parents.
"There is no truth in all these [accusations]. [They're] very ridiculous. [I'll] take [legal] action against them if they continue to say things like that," Angela said.
When asked if her family scandal affected her endorsement projects, Angela said that the companies supported and understood her.
A representative from Angela's company added that they "definitely will not sue her uncle if he stops saying lies".
"Do they want to become celebrities? [They are] all her elders, but they still rely on the media to communicate [with Angela]. How can we communicate properly like that?" the company rep asked.
It is understood that Angela did contact her family previously to try and solve the problem. However, both parties could not reach a consensus.
Angela's uncle was unavailable for comment.
