Karina, AKB48's Yuko Oshima to costar in drama

TOKYO — Model and actress Karina, 27, is to star in Fuji TV’s upcoming drama, “Watashi Ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu.” The show is to co-star Yuriko Yoshitaka, 23, and AKB48 subunit Team K member Yuko Oshima, 22. The series will mark the first time Oshima has been a regular in a TV drama.

 Speaking at an event at Fuji TV, Oshima said: “I’m going to try my best not to hold Yuriko and Karina back. We aren’t allowed to have relationships as members of AKB48, so I’m hoping to enjoy love vicariously through my character.”

 The drama will also star Izumi Inamori, 39, Kei Tanaka, 27, Masato Hagiwara, 40, and will air from October on Mondays at 9 p.m.
