"Cecilia has never taken a single dollar from me," says Nicholas Tse

HONG KONG: "Cecilia has never taken a single dollar from me, and has never asked me for any money," said Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse on Wednesday.

Tse was responding to questions from reporters, about a Hong Kong tabloid's claim that his ex-wife, Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung, had recently received a whopping HK$80 million (S$13 million) from him, reported Hong Kong media.

The tabloid had further claimed that Cheung needed the money to pay for her and their sons Lucas and Quintus' living expenses, because her recent films had flopped.

Tse asked the public not to worry about their sons' living expenses.

"Both of us (he and Cheung) will deal with it," said the actor, who is currently working on his new film "Vanishing Bullet".

The tabloid article had raised the ire of Cheung's management agency, which had described it as being "completely untrue", and had since vowed to sue the tabloid.
