Jolin Tsai and Jay Chou are not pairing up for Golden Melody Awards

Fans will not be seeing Jolin Tsai and Jay Chou walking down the red carpet together after all.

The annual Golden Melody Awards this year will be expecting fewer A-list singers for the evening. According to Taiwanese media reports, singers such as A-mei, Lee Hom and Stefanie Sun, are skipping the award ceremony because of their hectic schedules.

That being said, rumour has it that the organizing committee plans to pair the ‘ex-couple’, Jolin Tsai andJay Chou, for the red carpet walk to bring up the excitement.

But the people in charge denied it, saying, “It is impossible as Jolin will be among the first to walk while Jay reaches much later.”

Popular Taiwanese pop band Mayday and singer-songwriter, Tanya Chua, will also be joining Masaharu Fukuyama, Japanese singer-actor as award presenters for the event.
