Jay Chou to stage race-themed concert at 2012 F1 Singapore Grand Prix

SINGAPORE: Organisers announced Wednesday that Taiwan superstar Jay Chou will stage a one-night only, race-themed concert at the Marina Bay Street Circuit on September 21, as part of the entertainment lineup for the 2012 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix.

The show will be specifically designed for the 50,000 capacity Padang venue at the Singapore Marina Bay Circuit Park.

Chou last held a concert in Singapore two years ago and played to sellout crowds.

He also drew huge crowds when he visited Singapore to promote his film "The Viral Effect" in January.

Chou is not the only big name act turning up for this year's night race - Maroon 5 will be performing the very next day on September 22.
