Xian's debut album set for April 30 release

MANILA, Philippines – Actor Xian Lim is all set to become a recording artist.

On Monday, Lim confirmed that his debut album under Star Records will be released later this month.

“April 30, 2012, my album will be released! Be sure to grab a copy,” he announced on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, Lim also had a pictorial for the album cover.

Lim has been vocal about his ambition to become a singer. “I want to get into music but siyempre ‘yung acting is always gonna be there,” Lim has said.

To prove that he also has the voice to become a recording artist, Lim sang the jingle of his new commercial for fast-food chain McDonald's. Lim’s version of the smash hit “Walking on Sunshine” for McDonald’s is now being played on radio stations.

Aside from singing, Lim is also attending dance workshops.

Lim is currently finishing the movie “The Reunion.” He is also set to appear in a movie with his “My Binondo Girl” co-star Kim Chiu, who’s being romantically linked to him right now.
