The Taiwanese songstress spent the first day of the Chinese New Year with her boyfriend
Taiwanese pop princess Jolin Tsai and boyfriend Vivian Dawson were spotted with two male companions at an American restaurant in Taipei on Sunday afternoon. The songstress, who was previously reported to have earned over NT$740 million (approximately S$30 million) last year, went Dutch with the three guys for the meal.
When asked about this incident, Jolin’s manager commented that the singer usually pays for the meal and that the group went Dutch this time because their foreigner friends were “used to” the culture of splitting the bill.
Although the restaurant guests and service crew threw curious glances at the couple from time to time, Vivian and his friends were seen enjoying their conversation while Jolin sat beside him, whispering to her boyfriend occasionally.
In contrast to the table full of food ordered by the guys, Jolin only had a bowl of French onion soup. The songstress apparently spoke to Vivian’s friends in English throughout the gathering and the group left the restaurant separately at around 7pm.
